I have never been a big fan of Hazelnut until this year. I'm not sure how it happened.. but I can't seem to get enough. It has quickly become one of my favorite flavors.

I love all of the spices of Fall and Winter. It makes me feel so happy and warm inside. Which is nice.. because its freezing as of late! I love the Pumpkin, Chai, Cinnamon, Gingerbread.. mmm all of the deep warm flavors of the season. :) Even after decorating the Christmas tree and wrapping a few presents.. I still haven't been able to get into the holiday spirit. I guess its time I get baking. Maybe some Christmas cookies will get me in the mood.

Thanksgiving Cupcakes
Its almost Thanksgiving! Even though I am not particularly a huge fan of the Holiday, (mainly the food.. Turkey.. bleh) but its always nice to get together with family. I am so excited to make different pies and share with friends and family.
I haven't been blogging very much.. I went on vacation and now I'm back and moving into another place yet again. Sooo... I probably wont be making any Thanksgiving cupcakes since most of my things are packed up!

Halloween Cupcakes with Roommates
Its almost Halloween! I'm getting so excited. I don't have that much planned.. just going to a small party with some friends but I'm excited for my costume and just little things that will be going on through out the day.
Last weekend my roommates made cupcakes and we all decorated them together. awww.. bonding. :)It was really fun and I think we all came up with a lot of cute cupcake ideas!

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes
This past weekend I made cupcakes for my wonderful friend Jaymes' birthday! :) I made vanilla cupcakes with Pink Lemonade frosting. I loved the frosting! It turned out so good. One of my new favorites. <3
For the frosting I looked for some recipes and reviews and I found 2 different recipes that I thought sounded good. The first recipe I found on Allrecipes but after I made it I was sort of disappointed. It wasn't at all what I had expected. It tasted pretty good but was mainly just flavored whip cream to me... So I made the second recipe I found from blog Cast Sugar which turned out really good. It had such a good flavor and was very thick. So... I decided to combinde the two recipes and VIOLA! AMAZING. <3 It was thick enough to pipe and sooo creamy. The perfect combination. It made the cupcakes taste so light.
I was so happy with how these cupcakes turned out and I think everyone really liked them too. :)
Mojo Cupcakes
I'm behind on my blogging.. again. A few weeks ago I made cupcakes for a local coffee shop MOJO UNDERGROUND. They turned out quite nicely. I just made some that I knew were quick and easy but also tasted wonderful :)
I wanted to make Oreo Cupcakes and in the spirit of Halloween I decided to use the black and orange Oreo cookies. Oreos are one of my favorite cookies since I was a young girl and making cupcakes with them is amazing!
Winter is approaching and that means lots of warm tea for me! I love all of the spicy flavors of winter. So warm and deep. The second flavor I chose a carrot cake with Vanilla Chai Spice frosting. YUM. I had never made this frosting before and it turned out to be one of my new favorites. It went really well with the Carrot cake but I think next time I will try pumpkin cake or maybe even plain old vanilla cake.
I was so happy to bring these cupcakes to Mojo and share them with friends! I hope they enjoyed them as much as I did making them. :)

Don't let your cupcakes go naked!
No one wants to see a naked cupcake! Spice things up a bit this year with some Cupcake Toppers and Wrappers! :) I'm so excited to start making Halloween cupcakes this month for friends and family. I'm trying to decide which cupcake toppers and wrappers to go with or possibly making my own? I love October so much. Fall is the absolute best time of the year for me. Everything about it makes me feel so happy.. the weather, the colors!,the flavors!, the sweaters... family, friends... everything.
Maybe its a bit early to start thinking of Halloween cupcakes? I'm just so excited! Hope to see some Halloween cupcakes this season with cute cupcake toppers and wrappers! <3

Candy Bar Cake
This week is my little brother Cody's birthday. We had a family birthday party last Sunday for him. I had been thinking about making this cake for quite some time now and decided this would be a good time to finally do it.
So.. what do you need in a Candy Bar cake??? hmm basically just a load of different candy bars that you like. I also used Caramel ice cream topper and cookies.. yep. My arteries were clogged immediately after eating this cake. But it was worth it. :)
I frosted the cake around the edges and put the Caramel ice cream topper on the first layer...
Then on top of the Caramel, I put crushed cookies...
I added the second layer of cake on top, frosted it and put all of the broken up candy bars on top. Followed by more Caramel ice cream topper.
It turned out huge! Much larger then I had expected. Glad I have a handful of brothers who can easily eat it.
For the cake I just used a simple Chocolate cake recipe. And homemade Chocolate Icing. I couldn't even fit all of the candy bars on the cake. I thought I might need more candy at first.. so just in case you try it out.. Happy Birthday Cody! <3

I'm Old News
I love fall. It is my favorite time of year. I love the colors it brings. The oranges, yellows, reds, browns.. Its just so warm and inviting.
September is a busy month as far as birthdays go in my family.. This year I had a nice quiet birthday. Went to lunch with my parents and had a small family party. This was the first year I didn't have birthday cake... or so I thought at least. Shortly after I got to work my mom came by with cupcakes! sheesh.. what a nice surprise.
Next weekend I am making a birthday cake for my little brother. Sorta making it up as I go but I have some idea and I think it may just turn out lovely.
Just thought I would post some fall cupcakes and cakes to get you in the mood. For some reason the start of September is just.. Fall to me. Even if it is blazing hot outside.

Neapolitan Cupcakes
A few weeks ago I made Neapolitan Cupcakes! Yep.. a few WEEKS ago.. the computer at my place has been acting soooo lame and I finally just uploaded my pics to a different computer. :)
I had this idea to make them for a while and made sure there were plenty of people to take em off my hands since there would be THREE cake mixes.. they made TONS of cupcakes! My friends had a bbq so I gladly donated them. With about 24 more to spare which I gave to my family. whew.. quite a project! But they turned out pretty cute and tasted delish!
I made Strawberry Cake, Chocolate Cake, and French Vanilla Cake and topped it off with some Vegan Vanilla Frosting.

Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger...
Lately I have been obsessed with the television show HOUSE. I LOVE IT. I just started watching it and have been renting it from Netflix. :) The other day my uncle told me he has all of the seasons so I decided a trade was in order. He would lend me House season 2 and I would make him cupcakes!
I was planning on making Oreo Cupcakes and Butterfinger Cupcakes.. but went a little overboard with the Butterfinger frosting. Soooo.. my package of Oreos in the cupboard will have to wait for another day to make their appearance.
The Cupcakes are Chocolate Vegan Cupcakes. The Frosting is Vanilla Vegan frosting.. and the Butterfinger.. well there is nothing vegan about it. :) I am not vegan but the recipes in Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World are my favorite! Perhaps I need to branch out a little..
I know they all look the same.. but I couldn't resist taking pictures :) WOOO with out further ado.. Butterfinger Cupcakes!

I LOVE Cupcakes.. but apparently not as much as some people. This is but a SMALL collection of die hard cupcake fans.
